Castle Country Radio has selected Carbon County Humane Society as August’s Charity of the Month. For the duration of the month, the radio station showcases a local non-profit organization to bring awareness to listeners of the wonderful services that agency offers.
The Carbon County Humane Society assists with low-cost spay, neuters, and vaccinations. Their clinics are held once a month and are usually the second Thursday. All individuals are volunteers except the Vet and the Vet techs. As a non-profit organization, the Humane Society relies on its major fundraisers that are held each year. Those fundraising events are the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast in March, the Silpada Jewelry party in the Spring, and the Holiday Nut Sale in October.
The volunteers at the Humane Society would like to thank members of our community for the continued support in these fundraisers and would like to encourage you to donate towels, blankets, dog or cat food, pet toys, or any other items that may be used to care for animals. For donation drop off locations or additional information, please call (435) 637-0588.
