Your All American Fair is this year’s theme for the Carbon County Fair which will kick off on August 8 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. This annual event is set to host several exhibits, vendors, activities, a concert and the demolition derby.

Things kick off on Thursday, August 8 with all of the exhibits to be on display inside the Carbon County Event Center throughout the weekend.  The animal expo will be held inside the indoor barn and open to the public from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday.

There will be Den & Jen’s Bouncers set up on both Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm for all the children to come and enjoy. Friday only there will be the quilt show taking place at the Carbon County Senior Center from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The park will be filled with several vendors from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm both Friday and Saturday.

A concert will be held inside the Carbon County Event Center on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 pm featuring Pam Tillis. Tickets are currently on sale starting at $22.00 and can be purchased at www.dle.fun

An all-night co-ed softball tournament will be held that evening beginning at 8:00 pm at the Softball Complex. The fee to participate is $250.00 per team with a three-game guarantee. For more information contact Carbon Rec at (435) 636-3702.

On Saturday, August 10 Kiddie Con will take place from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm inside the Carbon County Event Center. The Baby Contest will begin at 1:00 pm with free admission. The evening’s big event is the annual Carbon County Search & Rescue Demolition Derby. The gates will open at 4:00 pm and the event will start at 6:00 pm in the outdoor arena. The night will close with a movie in the amphitheater at 9:30 pm.
