Oh the stories that are being told in
heaven this week as one of the greatest reunites with family and friends that
have passed on before!  James “Kay” Watt finished his mortal journey while
surrounded by family after fighting a battle with cancer on August 19, 2019.
Not only was he the best at telling stories, he was known for his quotable
quotes, quick wit, keen sense of humor and a ready smile.

Kay was born on July 10, 1955 to James Arthur Watt III and Melissa “Anne” Wells.  He spent his young life in Wellington. During those years, he loved visiting and helping at his Grandpa and Grandma Wells’ on their ranch in Victor.  He also spent a lot of time with his Grandpa and Grandma Watt camping.

Kay was a talented musician and many remember his tall, dark and handsome frame playing the guitar in several bands.  He loved singing harmony and “making others sound good.” Some of his favorite times were enjoying jam sessions with his family and friends.

Later, Kay married Diane Braithwaite.  Their blended family had four children.  Together, they enjoyed camping, family vacations, trips to Lake Powell and several memories that are often revisited when the family comes together.

The last ten years of Kay’s life were spent in the St. George/Mesquite area where true to form he developed several meaningful friendships and memories. He loved his workbench in the garage and he was quite a craftsman with leather.

He is survived by his wife Diane Watt of Mesquite, NV, Children: David (Michelle) Anderson of Kissimmee, FL, Kathy (Bryan) Shaw of Washington, UT, Terri (Kyle) Fox of Helper, Utah and Wendy (Jason) Berkenbile of Valley Springs, CA.  Siblings: Janna (Ernest) Monson, Joyce (Karl) Houskeeper, Julie (Edward) Durrant.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur Watt III and Melissa “Anne” Wells.
