The Carbon Lady Dinos extended their early season winning streak to four with a dominating 9-2 victory over South Summit Tuesday afternoon in Kamas.

Delivering an offensive explosion from the beginning, Carbon held a secure 5-2 lead at the end of the first half. The offense continued to roll throughout outscoring South Summit 4-0 in the final stanza.

Junior Ryan Brady recorded three goals and one assist to lead the Lady Dinos in the win. Senior Grace Broadbear scored twice, running her season goal total to a team best 10, while also registering three assists.

Freshman Beverly Lancaster helped push the Carbon offense with a personal season high two goals. Sophomore Thalyn Lyman also found the back of the net twice.

Tuesday’s offensive output marks the second consecutive game that the team has scored nine goals. During the four game winning streak the Lady Dinos have combined for 24 goals, while only allowing five.

Carbon will now take a break from the action before returning to the field on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the Region 12 opener against the South Sevier Rams. The initial RPI rankings will be released two days later on Sept. 5.
