The Price Farmer’s Market is held during the late summer months through early fall every Saturday at 9:00 am till 1:00 pm at 100 North 100 East, just west of the Price City Fire Station. An event organizer, Desiree Richardson stopped by Castle Country Radio to talk about all the wonderful items that can be found at the local Farmer’s Market.

“The Farmer’s Market we, of course, have local fresh produce, this is produce that is actually grown in Carbon and Emery county,” said Richardson. “But there is different vendors, this year we have about 15 that are there every week instead of just veggies we got local honey that comes in, we have some craft vendors that come in that have different things from home décor to crochet items.” There is so many different items that are being sold at the market that it’s sure to be appealing to everyone of all ages.

The organizers list a menu on their Facebook page every Thursday that lists what items will be featured and sold at the upcoming Saturday market. This week’s menu states that there will be cucumbers, squash, plums, fresh herbs, snow pea pods, swiss chard, and baked goods.

Any individuals who wish to be a part of the Farmer’s Market can apply easily. “There’s two really good ways, actually there’s three, so you can contact us through the Facebook page and just message us, you can send an email to infopricefarmersmarket@gmail.com and also you can just show up on Saturday and fill out an application. So, there is an application form and yes there are booth fees but we would love to have any vendor come,” stated Richardson. The cost to participate is $30.00 for the entire season.

Organizers have designated the last Saturday of each month for children to set up a booth to sell any homegrown produce or handmade craft items. This is for any children under the age of 15 years old and they must have supervision by parent or guardian. The kids market hours are from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on August 31, September 28 and October 26.
