Rey Lloyd Hatt passed away at the age of 90 in Centerfield, UT on August 25, 2019.

Rey Lloyd was born in Torrey UT, July 7, 1929 to Frank and Ruby Hatt.

He had many lines of occupation throughout his life including building roads for and hauling uranium ore during the uranium boom. He also owned and operated the Mobil gas station in Green River for many years. He was a cowboy at heart and ran cattle on the San Rafael desert with his family for many years.  In 1976 he started Hatt’s Ranch pheasant hunting club which he helped operate until his passing. During his time at the hunt club he became friends with many who came to hunt and is friends with them to this day. Rey Lloyd was an integral part of the first volunteer fire department and served faithfully on the ambulance crew for many years. Rey Lloyd was civic minded and served as mayor of Green River for 18 years. He also served on Green River City council for many years. His service for his community and love of the Green River area was evident in most everything he did. Rey Lloyd was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and donated a portion of the land on which the current chapel if Green River was built. Rey Lloyd is well known for his quick wit and friendly demeanor.

He is survived by his wife, Lu Juan Green River, children Shuanee (Dan) Harrison Green River, Lu Rey (Tim) Vetere Green River, Royd (Toni) Hatt Green River, Renee (Rob) Davies Fillmore, a sister Dennavour. He was grandpa to 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Vail and Marion. A sister, Lu Deal and a grandson, Jace.
