The Carbon Lady Dinos extended their winning streak to five with a dominating 9-0 victory over the South Sevier Rams in the Region 12 opener Tuesday afternoon in Price.

Grace Broadbear scored a game-high four goals, running her season total to 14, as the Lady Dinos improved to 5-1 on the season. The win marks the third straight game that Carbon has scored nine goals.

Holding an 8-0 lead at the end of the first half, the Lady Dinos delivered the finishing touch early in the second half.

Kacie Brady scored three goals in Tuesday’s win, while Ryan Brady added one. As a team Carbon has now scored 36 goals in six games, trailing only Grantsville’s 41. Both teams hold a 5-1 record.

Now 1-0 in Region 12 play, the Lady Dinos will look to continue their early season dominance when they return to the field on Thursday with a home game against the San Juan Broncos.

Following Thursday’s home game Carbon will travel on the road for back-to-back region tilts on Sept. 10 and 12 against Richfield and Grand.
