The Desert Wave Pool is switching gears as the seasons are changing, they’re moving their hours of operation to a fall schedule which also means it’s time to install the bubble up over the wave pool.

“With our new Fall Hours we are open Mondays, a little early because school gets out, so we’re open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Mondays and then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday we’re open from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, so I just want to give everyone our Fall Hours,” stated Aquatic Director, Tamara Gray. Admission to the Desert Wave Pool is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 children 4 to 11 years old, $2.75 Seniors and $13.25 for a family of five.

The Desert Wave Pool will be closed on Wednesday, September 18 to install the bubble over the pool. “So, Wednesday night it will be closed because we have to get everything ready and Thursday, we will be putting it up if you want to drive by its quite the process. If all goes well, we should have it up Thursday night, possible opening up on Friday,” said Gray. The Desert Wave Pool reinstalls the bubble every fall and removes it late spring.

For those interested in swimming lessons a new block of lessons will be starting on September 16. “So we will run those, they run two days a week either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on the level. We have the schedule all ready so give us a call and we can get you signed up, we do have a few spots left for that session. They run for four weeks so you still get your eight lessons,” explained Gray. The cost for swim lessons is $35.00 per session. Session one will begin on September 16 running through October 10, with session two beginning on October 14 through November 7 and session three will start November 11 through December 5.

Any adults looking to stay fit during the cooler months may want to consider joining water aerobics. “We do offer water aerobics Monday through Friday mornings from 8:30 am to 9:30 am so you know drop your kids off at school and come on over to the pool at 8:30 am and we have some great instructors,” stated Gray. Water aerobics is also offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The cost to attend is $3.50 single admission or purchase a 10-punch pass for $24.00.
