The Carbon County Republicans would like you to join them for the Constitution Day Picnic on September 24 at 5:00 pm at Washington Park in Price. This is a free event to come enjoy a great evening with fellow Republicans.
“We’re going to have free food, barbeque pulled pork and all kinds of salads and sides to go along with it; we’re also giving out free desserts. We’re going to have a bounce house and slide for the kids to play on along with a little train that will kind of go around the park and give rides,” said newly elected Chairman, Darrin Birch. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite salad to share but it is not mandatory.
This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to learn more about the Republican party. “That’s what we are there for, that’s one of the reasons we are putting on this event. Again, it’s a fundraiser for us but it’s also to give back to the community and to be there to sign people up if they want to be a Republican or again to just answer questions and let them know what here and what we’re about,” stated Chairman Birch. There will be political speakers to enjoy and a chance to socialize with them to learn more about the Republican Party.
There will be also be a silent auction to enjoy with numerous prizes up for grabs as Birch explains, “We’re also going to have some auction items, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union has donated a cruise voucher that we are going to offer, Birch Electric has offered two tickets to a Utah football game against UCLA in November and the radio station has generously given us some certificates to the restaurants and movie theaters and things like that.” The proceeds from the event are to help fund future Republican Party functions and gatherings.
