Christopher Howard Basso, age 43, passed away with the love of his life Mandee by his side on September 20, 2019.

Chris was born December 10, 1975 to Linda Lee Bergamo and Howard Samuel Basso. He attended Notre Dame Regional School, Mont Harmon Junior High, and graduated from Carbon High School in 1994. He married Amanda Marie Truscott on June 2, 2001, they have been together since High School.

Chris served Carbon County from the year 2000 until 2012 as a Deputy Sheriff/Sergeant, SWAT Team and the Drug Task Force.

Chris and Mandee were married in Las Vegas and together built their life with their dogs which they loved and treated like their children and they would not have had it any other way. He enjoyed being on the water with a wakeboard or a fishing pole and good friends, and he also had a passion for and loved music. He was loyal, loving, serious, and protective so if you were in his life you were special. Chris and Mandee shared some struggles, but remained true to each other and loved each other unconditionally, he would want us to remember the good times and his love for his family and his wife Mandee. His Mom is going to miss her little baseball player and handsome son very much. He has left a hole in the hearts of his family. You are LOVED forever and always.

He is survived by his wife Mandee, parents Linda Bergamo and Howard Basso, mother and father-in-law Diane and Leo Truscott, sister Jill (Chris) Korenko, sisters-in-law Tamie (Tim) Peczuh, Jacque Truscott (JR), and brother-in-law Brien Truscott (Victoria); nieces and nephews Kaitlin Olsen (Riley), Derrick Korenko (Morgan), Kaden, Nathan, Steven, Katie Olson (Dylan), Michael, Bailey, Brittany Mlinek (Devon), Nikki, and Jason; great-nieces and nephews Jack, Bella, Kylan, and Gracie along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
