The newly formed charity organization called Carbon Cat Rescue will be hosting a Cat Adoption Event on Saturday, September 28 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Tractor Supply which is located at 1266 East Main Street in Price. Any individuals or families that wish to adopt a cat are invited to attend.

The founder of the organization, Tenisha Anderson spoke about why she started the charity, “I seen the need for TNR which is Trap, Neuter & Release. There’s a lot of feral cats around town and what I wanted to do was try to help with the population numbers. Once you catch them and release them and they are fixed that means you can stop lots of kittens from coming every year. The other part of the rescue is taking in kittens and other cats and getting them adopted out to their forever homes.” The organization works side by side with the local animal shelter but do not receive any sort of funding from them.

Donations are greatly needed and appreciated whether that be monetary or items to help house the cats as they wait to be adopted. Those items may include food, blankets, toys etc. All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping, along with a small adoption fee.

The rescue is always looking for foster parents to help with the kittens until they are able to find their forever homes. Individuals or families that wish to foster may contact Anderson via email at carboncatrescue@gmail.com
