The Lady Spartans were in Richfield over the weekend for a tournament that took place at the Sevier Valley Center on the Snow College Richfield Campus.

After an 0-3 start on Friday in which they would lose matches to Carbon, Panguitch and North Summit, they would start Saturday off with a win over North Sevier. They would then finish out the weekend with loses to Delta, Enterprise and Monticello to end the tournament 1-6.

Emery now sits at 6-19 overall and 0-9 in region play and will have to wait like the rest of the 3A ranks for the final RPI results to come out next Friday October 25. The 3A State Championship Tournament is scheduled to begin on the 26.

Emery still has a pair of games left on the season. First up is a home meeting with the Richfield Wildcats (23-5 and 6-2) on Wednesday October 16. Earlier in the season when these two teams met in the Wildcats gym, the Spartans fell 3-2.

In their final match of the season the Spartans will welcome the South Sevier Rams to Castle Dale.

The match against Richfield is set to begin at 6:30.
