The Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting a free Mule Deer Watch at the Nash Wash Wildlife Management Area on November 16 at 2:00 pm.

“This is a wildlife viewing event. This is just around the peak time of the rut so it’s a great opportunity for people to come out and photograph mule deer and watch them. Its really a fantastic thing to bring the family to,” said Conservation Outreach Manager, Aaron Bott. “This event is weather dependent but I think if we cross our fingers everything should pan out perfectly and it’s a great time to see these animals.” During this time, the deer are less concerned with human presence and easier to photograph. Participants will have a chance to watch and learn about mule deer behavior.

The event will take place at the Nash Wash Wildlife Management Area near Green River. “The Nash Wash Management area is about 45 miles east of Green River. So if you’re looking to get more information on attending we do have a signup sheet online, it’s at Eventbrite.com you can also just call our division office here in Price and you can get some more information on registering,” stated Bott. This viewing opportunity is limited to the first 30 participants who register. Attendees should remember to bring coats, water, cameras, and binoculars.
