Eastern Utah Community Credit Union (EUCCU) would like to invite the entire community to stop by on Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31 beginning at 9:00 am for their annual Halloween Bake Sale.
This has become a local Halloween tradition for many members within the community as EUCCU Employee Cyndi Dayley explains, “I’m not even really sure how it came about, I think someone just said, you know it might be fun to just do a Halloween themed bake sale sometime because we do the one for the pie sale every year in November for Thanksgiving and we thought well you know we do pretty well with that so lets try a Halloween themed one.” Some of the treats are based around Halloween, ranging from cupcakes, popcorn balls, cookies, cakes, candy and so much more – just about anything to satisfy a sweet tooth.
EUCCU is a big advocate for the United Way of Eastern Utah’s Angel Tree Program so this is one of many fundraisers assisting them with funds for the project. “We usually do between 100 to 150 kids every year and then we raise funds all year long, you’ll see us out in the community. We go to the stock show usually up in Emery County. We have our little Easter Egg Hunt every year. We started doing our Pumpkin Festival things like that. All of the, you’ll see our little popcorn booth and our cotton candy and things like that, so every time you see those and we are selling, we’re out selling things in the community, we’re raising money for projects like that,” said Dayley. The credit union also assists with coats and school supplies for local children in the area.
Anyone unable to stop in for the annual Halloween Bake Sale but would like to make a monetary donation may do so at the credit union located at 675 East 100 North, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
