John Andrew Baca, age 72, passed away at home on November 10, 2019.
He was born February 20, 1947 in Pueblo, Colorado to Raymond and Aurora “Dora” Aquilar Chavez.
John at birth weighed less than 3 pounds. An incubator sustained life resulted in partial loss of hearing, thus making John’s speech memorable to the listener. This coupled with a loving and stubborn personal side, curiously warmed us to him. He was a great tease, loved bowling, dancing, gardening and was an excellent cook. He was a true friend to all. When John was younger he freely volunteered in helping the more aged. John was also a wonderful free scooter rider. He was God’s child, a rare human being. Helper was more than home it was John’s personal turf. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Memorably he will remain “Our beautiful John”.
Survived by his family, Eugene (Julie) Baca, Texas; James (Ruth) Chavez, Price; Edward, Jr. (Monica) Chavez, Helper; Gloria (Marian) Hamaker, Miller Creek; Tina (Juan) Serna, Texas; Ramona (Baca) Martinez, Colorado.
Preceded in death by his mother, Aurora “Dora” Chavez; fathers, Edward Chavez and Raymond Baca; brother, Ralph Baca; sister, Pat Sosa.
