Price, UT – On Friday the Eagles appeared in their first home game against Impact Academy. The game was fast-paced and exciting to watch as the Eagles soared into action picking up their first win 78-69.
Vojtech Ruzek led the charge with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Defense was key for the Eagles as they forced 17 turnovers, 10 of which were steals. The Eagles also dominated the boards putting up a team best 58 rebounds. A combined effort for the Eagles led to a great win.
As Saturday rolled around the Eagles began to pick up the pace. Christian Haffner put on a shooting clinic for the crowd, going 7-11 from beyond the arc, finishing with a game high 25 points. It seemed as though the Eagles couldn’t miss, especially when they shot 55 percent from the field and even more impressively, they shot 54 percent from the three point line. It was a great night to share the ball, as the Eagles shoveled out 20 assists, 5 of which came from Jeffery Hunt.
The Eagles look to continue their winning streak as they travel to Ephraim, Utah and play in yet another tournament. Thursday’s game will be against Lamar Community College at 3:00 p.m. Friday’s match-up begins at 3:00 p.m. as well against Central Wyoming College. To wrap up the weekend on Saturday, the team plays at 11:00 a.m. against Eastern Florida State College.
