USU-Eastern is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, November 19 inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center at 5:00 pm till 6:30 pm. This event is open to any individuals that wish to attend USU-Eastern.

“So we have an Open House for anyone who’s interested in Utah State Eastern or Utah State in general. If you come you can learn about admissions, scholarships, we also have activities if you are interested about student life that we have on campus,” said USU Eastern Ambassador, Ed Lopez. The evening’s event is to assist potential students with the application and scholarship process.

Attendees need to be sure to bring with them an official copy of their high school transcript with ACT/SAT scores. “So you’ll just come and stand in line and we’ll get you to meet with one of our recruiters and they’ll actually be able to pull up your scholarship in your account right then and there and see what you got GPA wise and on your ACT and then they will be able to apply that right to your account. So within five minutes of being there you’ll have a scholarship already,” said USU Eastern Ambassador, Nichole Bishop. An Academic Scholarship is based solely on the individual’s GPA and ACT/SAT scores.

The evening will also have some opportunity drawings for guests. “Obviously we are proud of Utah State and we’re proud of our community and proud of our school so we’re going to hand out a bunch of swag. So we’re going to have opportunities to get pop sockets, fanny packs, just fun swag and stuff like that, also for students to take home to commemorate their time at Utah State and to realize how much it cares about its students,” explained Bishop.
