Brian Laws, 40, passed away November 15,2019 after a courageous fight with a lengthy illness.

Brian Francis Laws was born in Moab, UT on December 13, 1978 to James and Christine Laws, the youngest of four children. Brian grew up in Blanding, Utah where he graduated from San Juan High School in 1997. He served an LDS mission to Cebu, Philippines from 1998 to 2000. After returning home, he soon met the love of his life, Kristine Visser. They were married on Dec. 15, 2000. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 2003. Brian and Kris have four children, Sayge (15), Tyson (13), Avery (11) and Paisley (5).

Brian was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with an unwavering testimony and great understanding of Gospel principles. He was dedicated to spending time with his family camping, hunting, hiking and anything outdoors. He enjoyed fixing cars, shooting guns, running, biking and four-wheeling. Brian loved making people smile, he had a great sense of humor, quick wit and his smile was infectious, and he made friends everywhere he went. Brian loved helping people and sought out opportunities to serve others, whether friends or complete strangers. He was a patient, loving teacher, who always made time for others.

He is survived by his eternal companion, Kristine; his children Sayge, Tyson, Avery and Paisley; mother, Christine Laws; sisters Georgia (James) Van Reenen and Edie Laws; brother, James David (Candace) Laws; father-in-law Steve Visser; mother-in-law Judy Smith; sisters-in-law, Wendy (Randy) Patton, Natalie (Steve) Whatcott, Angie (Cody) Jensen, Liz (Kit) Brady; brothers-in-law; Matt Visser, Brad (Tandy) Visser; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his father James Asa Laws; sister-in-law, Raquel (Mike) Workman.

Funeral service, Saturday, November 23, 2019, 12:00 p.m., Huntington Stake Center where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Interment, Cleveland Town Cemetery.
