The Carbon County Commissioners will be holding a public meeting this Wednesday, November 20th at 6 pm. All concerned citizens are invited to attend and listen to the County Commission explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. The public is invited to make comments to the County Commissioners regarding the proposed tax increase.
The proposal would increase the Municipal Services Tax rate. On a $150,000 residence the county says your taxes would increase from $25.99 to $216.48 which is a $190.49 a year increase. On a business they would see and increase from $47.25 to $393.59, which is a $346.34 a year increase.
