Emery High School senior goalie Kiri Cook was named to the 3A All-State Second Team after a standout soccer season in 2019, leading two individual awards for the Lady Spartans.

Playing in 17 games this season, Cook finished with three shutouts from the goalie position. Aside from the three shutouts Cook and the Lady Spartans allowed just one goal on three separate occasions, including a 3-1 win over Grantsville in the opening round of the 3A State Tournament.

The Second-Team All State selection comes for Cook following an Honorable Mention in 2018.

Senior midfielder Sophia Huntington was tabbed with an Honorable Mention as she finished with two goals on the season.

Emery finished 8-2 in Region 12 play, finishing second in the division. Entering the state tournament as the No. 10 seed, the Lady Spartans upset No. 7 Grantsville in the opening round. The season came to a close days later with a loss to Judge Memorial in the quarterfinals.

The 3A All-State teams are voted on by coaches throughout the classification.
