Carbon High School senior soccer standout Grace Broadbear has been named a 3A All-State First Team member, leading four Carbon High School all-state selections.
Broadbear helped the Lady Dinos to a Region 12 championship and a trip to the quarterfinals in the 3A State Tournament. Finishing second in the classification in goals scored, Broadbear found the back of the net 35 times and added 23 assists to her final season total.
The 2019 First-Team selection comes for Broadbear following an Honorable Mention for her 2018 junior campaign. This past season she scored three goals or more in five games, including three games with four goals.
Junior midfielder Ryan Brady was named to the All-State Second team. Finishing second on the team in goals scored, Brady notched 17 goals in 18 games. Scoring multiple goals in six separate games, Brady logged a hat trick on Aug. 20 in a road contest with South Summit.
Sophomore defender Molly Banks and freshman Beverly Lancaster also earned individual recognition as both were given Honorable Mentions. Both underclassmen played key roles as Carbon finished third in goals allowed throughout region play in the classification.
The 3A All-State teams are voted on by coaches throughout the classification.
