The Lady Panthers traveled to Magna on Friday night to take on the 6A Cyprus Pirates, falling 52-23.
Senior Stephanie Sasser would score a game high 19 points in this one, Sasser currently leads the state in all divisions in rebounding with just over 16 per game also.
The Pirates turned up their defensive intensity gathering 17 steals in a game where Pinnacle could only come up with four points by halftime. The Panthers came out after the break scoring nine points in the third and even out scored their opponent 10-5 in the final quarter, but Cyprus was too much for them.
The Panthers will get a bit of a break and will not take to the court again until Friday when they will play four games in two days as part of the Pinnacle Winter Classic. This tournament will feature 17 teams from five schools with 26 games being played in 48 hours.
