Idonna Pyper Dugmore passed away December 11, 2019.

She was born on October 20, 1936 in Midway, Utah to Ray Van and Ruth North Pyper. Idonna grew up on their farm in Midway with her six siblings. After graduation from Wasatch High School she attended Dixie State College and Brigham Young University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Idonna moved to Ferron, Utah where she taught school.

She married Gale Dugmore June 4, 1964 in the Manti Temple. Idonna quit teaching to stay home and raise her four children and helped Gale with his heating and air conditioning business.

Gale passed away on December 10, 1984, and at that time Idonna went back to teaching for another 15 years.

Idonna spent sixteen years working in the Manti Temple. She appreciated the friendships she made there. Later in life she developed a love for golf and spent a lot of time at the golf course.

She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, amazing quilts and a love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children, Gayland (Janeal) Dugmore, Ferron, Alaina (Layne) Hales,

Ferron, Gena (Gary) Rieger, Windsor, CO, Brenda (Brent) Tuttle, Orangeville; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Elroy Stucki, Ruth Joyce (Joe) McGee, Milton Harvy, Ken (Sue) Pyper, Mel (Starla) Pyper; sister-in-law, Celia Klundt.

Preceded in death by her husband Gale; siblings, Delwin Pyper, Alda Stucki, Mary Lou Harvey.

Funeral Service, Monday, December 16, 2019, 11:00 a.m., Millsite Ward Chapel(35 West 200 North) in Ferron.  Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m. and Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment, Ferron City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
