A wonderful American, Neldon LaVell Huff, 80, departed his loved ones on December 11, 2019 at Castleview Hospital, while surrounded by his loving family.

Neldon was born May 26, 1939 in Benjamin, Utah, one of eight children of Manson and Mary Allred Huff. He married the love of his life, Clara Annette Grundy on May 10, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Neldon served 20 years in the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer Storekeeper retiring in 1975. He served on numerous vessels and was proud of his time aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA 31). Neldon received a Purple Heart and many other medals and commendations. He was a proud and distinguished veteran who always showed the upmost respect to his country, flag and fellow men. Neldon was a life member of The American Legion Post #3 of Price, Utah where he proudly served as Commander for years. He dedicated his life to the service of others and his unwavering dedication to his country will remain in our hearts forever.

Neldon was actively involved in the community and he especially enjoyed entertaining at the Care Centers, Senior Center and throughout the community. Neldon loved to Karaoke, fly fish, play horse shoes, camp and traveling alongside his wife Annette, in their RV. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and the Utah Jazz fan. Neldon touched the lives of many and his memory cherished for generations.

Survived by his loving wife, Annette Huff, Price; two sons and one daughter, Glenn (Kim) Huff, Price, Debra Lister, Casper, WY, Kenneth (Carrie) Huff, Price; six grandchildren, Austin, John, Crystal, Danay, Kenden and Josie; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Bracken, Cenyen, Kylee, Kody and Taisley; sister, Arline Anderson, Price, brother, Norman (Colleen) Huff, St. George; and many loving other family members and a community of friends.

Neldon was preceded in death by parents, grandson, Devin Huff; son-in-law, Dean Lister; five brothers, Orland, Dennis, Darwin, Vernon and Paul Huff.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Center, Parkdale Care Center and Castleview Hospital. Your kindness to Neldon and our family will never be forgotten.

Graveside service, Monday, December 16, 2019, 11:30 a.m. at the Price City Cemetery with military honors by The American Legion Post # 3.
