The Community Cares Neighbors Helping Neighbors Annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Christmas Day from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This free event will be held inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center on the campus of USU-Eastern.

“Nobody should be alone on Christmas Day, everyone deserves a hot meal with people to be around and just a day to spend with friends and have fun,” said an Event Organizer, Stephanie Cha. Over the last few years the organization has served almost 200 individuals each year with a delicious Christmas dinner with all the fixings.

Guests can look forward to some great fellowship, small gifts and festive musical entertainment. “We have people come and play different instruments, we also have music playing the whole time and we actually have Christmas activities for the children as well, so if you bring a family, they can also partake in activities,” said Cha. Children will be given an opportunity to decorate Christmas cookies this year.

Shuttle services are available upon request for areas of Helper, Kenilworth, Carbonville, Wellington and Price. To get further details on the shuttle services or delivery of meal please call Stephanie Cha at (435) 820-6631.

The organization is still seeking monetary donations to assist with the preparation and operating costs of the event. The average cost per meal is about $5.00 a person. Donations may be sent to Community Cares Christmas Dinner, PO Box 255, Price, Utah 84501 or you may call Pam Cha at (435) 820-6628.
