Our Beloved AMAZING GRACE.. mom, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend, Grace Catherine Simpson Miller, age 86, peacefully passed away on December 16,2019 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Grace was born June 19, 1933, in Newark, New Jersey to Ralph and Renabelle Montonya Simpson.
Grace married Orazio (Harry) Sanfilippo in 1954 in Newark, New Jersey and they had seven children together. Later in the years after moving to S.L.C, UT they divorced. Grace then met Myron G Miller & they were married in 1976 in Ely Nevada, Myron passed away in 2003.

Our Mom grew up in Newark, New Jersey she had a lot to overcome & adapt to, she lost her hearing & couldn’t see very well at a very young age, on top of that she developed a brain aneurysm around the age of 12, they didn’t find out about it until 1970, that’s when they performed brain surgery on her. Just days after the surgery she returned home to take care of all seven us kids & our household needs. She was a determined woman who had a lot of faith, courage, love, strength & a terrific sense of humor, she had to in order to raise all of us kids.

Mom’s greatest and most treasured joy was her family, children, grandchildren, mother, father, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

She was a beautiful woman with many talents & art skills she had an eye to draw some pretty amazing detailed portraits of people, especially of us kids when we were growing up. She enjoyed the outdoors up in the mountains, and loved traveling (driving) throughout the US, taking in the beautiful scenery’s throughout our great & beautiful nation.

Our Mom will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Donna Cole, Grantsville, UT, Harry Jr. (Dawna) Sanfilippo, Midvale, UT, Robin Jones, Green Sea, SC, Philip (Robin) Sanfilippo, Red Bank, NJ, Mark Sanfilippo, Price, UT, Debrena (Rick) Rowley, Helper, UT, Edna Jean (Tracy) Rowley, Yulee , FL; her sisters, Jeannette Simpson, Denver, CO, Renabelle Brown , Russell Springs, KY, Peggy Jankuna, Hamilton, MT, her 26 grandchildren, along with many great & great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Grace is preceded in death by her beloved husband Myron; her parents; brothers Alan, Ralph & Norman Simpson; and her sisters Alma & Edna May.

A heartfelt thank you to Audrey, Ashley & all of the staff at Rocky Mountain Hospice for your love, care & friendship with our Mom & our family.

At Grace’s request there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Grace at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
