Eight Emery High School student-athletes have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2019-20 winter sports season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.
Individuals are selected for the award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency. The Academic All-State award is decided by either meeting an index score (view here) or having a 4.0 unweighted grade-point-average.

For over 25 years the UHSAA has presented the Academic All-State Award to recognize those students who have excelled in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. Individuals are selected for this award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency. With over 85,000 students participating in high school activities, this award is the most prestigious honor the UHSAA presents to senior students.
