The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a free Professional Speed Networking Event on February 26 at 8:00 am inside the USU Eastern Alumni Room of the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.

“We have a couple of partners with this, so its Parkdale Health & Rehab and The Eastern Utah Business Network, they actually put it on and we are a co-host with this event,” stated Executive Chamber Director, Deserae Stevenson. “So this is where we are offering – kind of like speed dating but its speed networking. So you’ll go and talk to everybody that’s in the room, kind of give your 60-second pitch about your business and just reconnect with people or connect with people just to let them know that one, you are here and what you have to offer.” If you don’t have a 60-second pitch Marketing Elevated will help you to create one. Breakfast will be provided at the event.

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is in the process of looking for sponsors to fill their 2020 Snapshot Passport. “So the Snapshot Passport is the chamber’s new way of doing their directory. We know that the old way was more like a phone book and that’s kind of outdated so we kind of moved it into now terms. So what we’ll do is hand that booklet out to every elementary student in the Carbon School District and it has an activity for them to complete throughout that summer.” At the end of the summer, the chamber throws all of the participants a huge party to celebrate their completion of the passport. Businesses that would like to place an ad inside the Snapshot Passport are asked to contact the chamber office at (435) 637-2788. The deadline to participate is February 28 and space is limited.
