The Emery County Historical Society is hosting a presentation of the History of the Carbon and Emery Coal Camps on Thursday, January 27 at 6:30 pm at the Castle Dale Courthouse in Castle Dale.
Individuals are invited to come enjoy a presentation by Scott Wheeler who will share before and after shots of historical photos of the coal camps that were originally taken by Harry Shipley and George Edward Anderson. This includes a photograph taken in the late 1800s of a unique geological feature entitled “Buried Forest.”
Refreshments will be served and the cost to attend is the annual due of $5.00 per person.
