Lu Juan Duncan Hatt was born April 17, 1930 in Bicknell, Utah to Penn Taylor and Minnie Ester Duncan. Lu Juan passed away March 6, 2020 in her home in Green River, Utah at the age of 89.

Lu Juan married her high school sweetheart Rey Lloyd Hatt on May 3, 1949. He passed away August 25, 2019.

Lu Juan had many jobs throughout her life including Ownership in the Mobil Gas Station,Voter Register, Treasurer of Green River Credit Union, Road show director for the Green River LDS Ward, but none did she take more pride in than Hatt’s Ranch. Lu Juan worked alongside her husband of 70 years at the ranch raising cattle then changing Hatt’s Ranch to a pheasant hunting club in 1976. Her burgers cooked with onions in them were legendary throughout all the hunters. She was very musical and enjoyed all aspects of music, and her seamstress skills were beyond comprehension. Lu Juan would be given multiple pictures of clothes to make into one item. She would cut patterns out of newspaper and create just exactly what you were looking for. Lu Juan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by children Shuanee (Dan) Harrison Green River, LuRey (Tim) Vetere Green River, Royd (Toni) Hatt Green River, Renee (Rob) Davies Fillmore, Ut. She is Grandma to 14 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband Rey Lloyd Hatt, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, Norman, Clell, Blaine, Larrell, Brent, Ilda, Mazel, Lois, Cuma, Clea, and grandson Jace Vetere.

Graveside service, Saturday, March 14, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Elgin Cemetery, Green River, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome to share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
