Sally Mauro Elementary and Helper Middle School would like to take a moment to thank Balance Rock Eatery, R&A Market and Happiness Within for supplying meals during the spring break vacation that took place during April 6 through April 10.
“Well we had, last week was spring break and the school district had been supplying breakfast and lunches to the students of Sally Mauro Elementary, as well as Robert’s school over at Helper Middle, they were not going to supply lunches and breakfast for spring break and a local, a member of the community, Cindy Curry, she stepped up and had her employees of R&A Market, as well as Balance Rock Eatery help out with that and supply lunches to all the Helper students,” said Principal Blake Allen. The meals were not only served over the Spring Break vacation but they were delivered by Cindy Curry’s employees throughout bus stops in Helper, Spring Glen and Carbonville Road.
The Balance Rock Eatery crew had to make deliver’s at 8:00 am for breakfast, then turn around a few hours later to deliver lunches at 12:00 pm. “It’s not just Cindy Curry that did this, all of her employees. Those that were certified for food handling, they had gotten together and they kept everything sanitary, they were all wearing gloves, they were handing things out to students within a proper social distancing. They did so much work and my goodness we just want to give a shout out to all of them for all of the work that they have done,” Principal Robert Bradley. All of the participating students were very appreciative each day for the nutritious meals provided to them during the Spring Break holiday.
There was a lot of time and energy that went into providing this type of service for the students of Sally Mauro and Helper Middle School so the next time you visit Balance Rock Eatery, R&A Market and Happiness Within be sure to thank them for their generous contribution.
