Laurence Stella, age 95, passed away at his home in Price, UT on May 29, 2020.

He was born in Sunnyside, Utah on January 14, 1925 to John and Mary Farlaino Stella.

Larry was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II who served in the South Pacific as a 1st Class Petty Officer.

Married Dolly Feichko on February 26, 1950 in Price, Utah.

Larry worked for Carbon County Railroad as a Gandy Dancer when he was 15 years old and retired as the Superintendent in 1983. Larry was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, and Carbon Country Club.  He was an avid golfer and was instrumental in starting the Seniors Golf League.  He got his first hole in one at the age of 79.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Dolly; daughter, Valerie Compagni (Van), of Eighty Four, PA.; grandchildren, Vanessa & Cassie Compagni of Eighty Four, PA.; great grandson, Dante Compagni, of Eighty Four, PA.; sisters, Pauline Cullen (Don), of Riverside, CA, Rose Fraizer, of Carlsbad, NM.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his son Steve’s dog Kusko.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven; sisters, Mary Stevenson, Tressa Hernandez, and brother, George Stella.

Graveside service, Thursday, June 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Cliffview Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00-10:40 a.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
