Price City announced that they have a full schedule for 2020 Culture Connection Summer Concert Series. Price City Council Member, Layne Miller took time to speak over the telephone with Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.
“The big announcement here is that we have a summer full of Culture Connection appearances. However, we’re going to start by live streaming these concerts from the Civic Auditorium without an audience. They’ll go on the Facebook pages and you’ll be able to listen online,” explained Miller. This year’s concert series will be offered online where people can watch and listen to the performances in the privacy of their own home every Thursday evening.
The first performance is scheduled to take place on June 11 at 7:00 pm. “You might recognize this name; his name is Riley McDonald. He is the lead guitar player and singer for the group Shuffle. Riley is the kind of guy think that you could give him any song and he’d be able to do a fabulous job of it. He’s going to be fun,” said Miller. The remainder of the month will feature Jennifer Lopez on June 18 and Charlie Jenkins on June 25. Other performances will be Angie Murray, Out The Back Door, Los Hermanos de los Andes and The Deltaz. Culture Connection was able to schedule The Deltaz because they are going to make their next album here in Carbon County.
This will be a unique Culture Connection year for all those involved but officials are excited and eager to be able to offer the summer concert series. “I think we are going to have a good summer. You know we had to be really creative. We had hurdles we had to get over, we had red flags pop up but I think we finally have done this and I’m just really excited. We’re going to have something to do this summer,” exclaimed Miller. To keep informed on the upcoming performances visit the Price City website or their Facebook page.
