Ronald Jay Christensen, age 76, passed away June 2, 2020 at his home in Price.

He was born February 3, 1944 in Price, Utah to June and Mary Jones Christensen. Married Carol Stewart on December 19, 1964 in Elmo, Utah. She passed away October 27, 2017.

Jay was a lifetime resident of Carbon and Emery counties where he worked as an electrician for numerous mines in the area. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America.   Jay loved the outdoors, hunting, camping and caring for his cats.

Survived by his two children, Angel (Kelly) Madsen, Rowdy Christensen, both of Price; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Paul, Larry, Collete, Laura and Junette.

Preceded in death by his parents; and beloved wife, Carol Christensen.

Funeral service, Saturday, June 6, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, Cleveland Town Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
