Our loving dad, papa, uncle, brother and great grandpa, Johnny Joe Lujan was reunited with the love of his life his funny face on June 14, 2020 at the age of 73.

He was born to Manuelita Sandoval on August 3, 1946 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  He was around two years old when they moved to Dragerton.  Johnny was later adopted by Selestino Lujan, Sr. Johnny was a hardworking man.  He even had his own carpentry business when he was younger.  He worked at a few different mines including Horse Canyon and Kaiser.  He also worked at East Carbon City and ECDC where he helped build the first cell. Johnny Joe met Della Roberta Gonzales in High School and he later married her June 5, 1973.  In August 1986 they had a daughter, R.J. and in 2010 he would become a papa and again in 2014.  Bella and Ezmae weren’t his only girls though, he had four more and he loved nothing more than being their papa.

Johnny will be dearly missed by many.

Survived by his daughter, R.J.; granddaughters, Bella, Ezmae, both of East Carbon, Aaliyah “bug,” Andrea, Aziah, all of Helper, Dominique “Chach,” Price; brothers, Frank (Lynne) Lujan, Price, Selestino “Tino” Jr. (Laura) Lujan, East Carbon; special niece and nephew, Patricia (Cory) Summers and their children, KayDee and Kayden, East Carbon; special sister-in-law, Lucy King, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Preceded in death by his parents; wonderful wife; brother, Jimmy; sister, Teresa; son, Jeffery; his mother and father-in-law.

Funeral service, Thursday, June 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
