Our precious mom and Grammy, Joyce Ruth Stone Howard was welcomed home into the loving arms of her Savior, husband and son on June 16, 2020.
Joyce was born in Price, Utah on February 19, 1948 to Harry D. Stone and Jackie Ann Standley.
She graduated from Ogden High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very proud of her accomplishment of graduating from seminary.
Joyce married Neil Howard, September 4, 1968 in Reno, Nevada. Together they had five children who became Joyce’s entire world until she had grandkids. Then we had to fight for her attention. Our mom was one of a kind, she taught us to be loving, charitable and to know that in the end everything was going to be alright. She was so loved by her children and grandchildren and will be missed terribly until they can see her again.
She loved to spend time camping and fishing with her family and missed her Daddy so much when he was no longer with her on those trips. She was a champion bowler and won many horseshoe tournaments with her husband. Joyce was a friend to all and was loved by many. There is a hole left unfilled without her here. Until we meet again, our sweet Momma, go walk in the garden without pain.
Survived by her mother, Jackie Stone, Ogden; children, Jackie (Titus) Hilliard, Amy (Brent) Fairbanks, Pacee (Chet) Allred, Chad (Diana) Howard, Del Burnside, all of Huntington; Fernando (Emerita) Uribe, Wendover, NV; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father, Harry D. Stone; son, Harry N. Howard; husband, Neil Howard; and sisters, Linda and Aggie.
