The Carbon County Office of Tourism is looking forward to their Ride the Corridor OHV event scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 26. Tourism Specialist, Tina Henrie took time to come into Castle Country Radio to talk about all the details.

“Well as you know COVID-19 has put us in a very difficult situation and a lot of our events have been canceled. I said, you know what, I’m not canceling this ride but of course I had to talk to the Health Department to get a little feedback from them on the different activities we are going to do. They’ve given us the ok, so we’re excited. Ride the Corridor is our annual OHV/ATV ride and we are going to enjoy Bruin Point, East Carbon/Sunnyside area, and it’s going to bring us down into Nine Mile Canyon,” stated Henrie. The cost to participate is $25.00 per person and individuals interested in participating in the event must sign up before the deadline of September 15 by visiting the Carbon Corridor website at http://www.castlecountry.com/

Participants will be able to enjoy a breakfast provided by East Carbon City in the parking lot of Miner’s Trading Post.  “So that morning East Carbon City is hosting the breakfast, they’re donating that, and so it’s a free breakfast. Lunch, you can opt to bring your own lunch or you can order lunch from Miner’s Trading Post. On the registration form you’ll see the different prices for that; you can do a small lunch for $7.00, or a larger lunch for $11.00. You need to call Miner’s Trading Post and order your lunches by September 23,” explained Henrie. Participants can contact Miner’s Trading Post about their lunch order by calling (435) 888-4416.

Once the group has finished their breakfast the group of riders will begin their trip by taking off from Miner’s Trading Post to Bruin Point, then down Dry Canyon, then over to Nine Mile Canyon where the group will stop to enjoy lunch. “Bring your camera, bring your video, bring your ATVs, bring your side-by-sides and let’s have some fun,” said Henrie. The event will close out with a Dutch-oven Dinner provided by Miner’s Trading Post at their parking lot where the ride took off from.
