Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Terry Lynn Nielson Young, age 69, passed away August 1, 2020 at her home in Price.

She was born April 22, 1951 in Pittsburgh, CA to Stanley and Dorlynn Day Nielson. Married Leslie D. Young on November 7, 1978 in Fairview, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on November 8, 1979. Les passed away March 11, 2014.

Terry was a talented artist, having taught many how to paint with oils. She loved to can, sew, play pinochle, family reunions, dogs, water fights and especially Werther’s Original Candy and Yahtzee. Terry took in strays of all kinds, from cats to people. She always made sure everybody around her was taken care of and had what they needed. Terry learned how to grow avocado plants and was very proud of them. Her family was her life and was an amazing mom and grandma. She will be missed by her family and a community of friends.

Survived by her children, Heidi (James) Zoeller, Casper, WY, Michelle (John) Kreczkowski, Sun Valley, ID, Jared (Tami) Young, Castle Dale, Aaron Young, Tooele, Sunee Young, Price, Wyndi (Skylar Garner) Young, Price; brothers, Mike (Robin) Nielson, Roy, Randy (Jaime) Nielson, Clawson; and 13 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; and husband Leslie D. “Les” Young.

Funeral service, Thursday, August 6, 2020, 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery.
