The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has some great events this month for not only their members but for the public to join as well. Executive Chamber Director,
Allison Preston took some time to stop by Castle Country Radio to share all the details on the upcoming events.

“We are doing a Live @ Lunch, as you know this is kind of taking place of our luncheons that we use to do. Our Live @ Lunch is going to be August 20 at noon, it is a virtual Zoom Meeting. We have two speakers that will be there, we’re going to have Lance Hatch with the Carbon School District, as well as Roberta Hardy, she’s with Pinnacle Academy,” said Preston. The two will discuss how this school year will differ than in years past due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Being recognized this month for the Community Spotlight is Carbon County Recreation. Preston talks about this month’s Business Spotlight, “We also are super lucky this month our Business Spotlight is Southeastern Health Department. They will be taking up some of the time to talk about all of the things they’ve been doing through COVID. I think it’s a great opportunity because they have helped this county out tremendously, this region out tremendously, and we’re super excited to spotlight them.”

The normal monthly luncheons use to be for members only but this format that is being used opens up the meeting to all interested individuals. “So usually at our luncheons its usually members only, but with this platform, we can offer it to the public, and that’s the thing that we’ve done. We’ve actually sent out two flyers now for this particular Live @ Lunch and the second flyer gives an open invitation to anyone to jump on, so it’s got the meeting, it’s got the password, everything like that because we would just love to have as many people on to hear these guys speak as we can get,” stated Preston. If you are needing the details to access the meeting individuals can contact the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce at (435) 637-2788 or email cccc@carboncountrychamber.net

A great networking event is coming up at the end of the month and there is still time to get signed up for it. “At the end of August, we have our Speed Networking, it’s going to be all virtually done again. We tried it once and it was pretty successful, so we’re going to go at it again. It is August 27 at 8:00 am and it’s open to the public as well, you don’t have to be a Chamber Member to be a part of this. However, if you want more information about that go ahead and give me a call,” said Preston. This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the businesses in the area, plus share information on your business with others.
