The Dinos were last on the floor in late October and ended the season with a victory over Grand to take fifth place in the 3A State Playoffs. The Lady Dinos headed back to the court to kickoff the 2020 season, facing the Juab Wasps in a back and forth contest, the Dinos would get the victory 3-1.

Carbon went 21-11 last season and are looking to build on last year’s success but they did lose six seniors to graduation. Juab ended the year at 9-20 and lost in the first round of the State Playoffs.

This was a very competitive match from beginning to end, with every set going back and forth. The first set went to the Dinos 25-18, they then went on to take the second set 27-25. Carbon would fall in the third set 25-18 but then came back to take the fourth set 25-23.

Senior Emma Christensen led the way for the Dinos with 20 kills and 16 blocks. Senior Makenna Blanc picked up right where she left off last year with 34 assists. Senior Lyndee Mower had 17 digs and added five kills. Senior Katie Jones led the team with 25 digs and junior Janzie Jensen registered six kills in the match.

The Dinos now head on the road to for trips to Payson, San Juan and Richfield and will also participate in the North Sanpete and Dixie Flyer tournaments.

They will return home on September 3 match with Emery. Varsity starts at 6:30
