The Emery Lady Spartan soccer squad has struggled early on in the season. Sitting with a a 1-2 record as they welcome Juab to Castle Dale, the Wasps scored early and often leaving the Spartans on the losing end of the 6-1 score.

Emery collected it’s first win of the season last Thursday against Gunnison Valley 4-2. Before that the Spartans had struggled with both North Sanpete and Union.

In the match on Tuesday, Juab came out on fire scoring three goals in the first half to Emery’s one. Coming out in the second half the Wasps came out with the same intensity scoring three more to take the win.

For the Wasps Josephine Kay had three goals while Marisa Hall netted two and Eden Hall scored one.

On the Spartans side Tenyson Allred had the lone goal for Emery.

Up next for the is a home match on Thursday against Parowan and another home match against Millard on Thursday the 27 before they head on the road for their next two contests.
