The Dinos Volleyball squad traveled to Payson to take on the Lions on Thursday. Carbon came out strong on the first set and every set proved to be a battle but as the matches wound down the Dinos were faced with a 3-2 loss.

The Dinos took the first set 25-15 and seemed poised to take the next set but Payson would come back and take set two 25-22 and set three 28-26. Carbon came back taking the fourth set 25-17 and then would drop the final set 15-11.

Emma Christensen had 19 kills in the match, Lyndee Mower added 12 and Janzie Jensen had 8. Katie Jones collected 35 digs with Makenna Blanc adding 23 and 39 assists, Christensen added 19 digs as well.

Up next the Dinos will travel to the North Sanpete Tournament on Saturday. They will then open region play on Tuesday August 25 in San Juan, the Dinos will finish up the week in St. George for the Dixie Flyer Tournament.
