Locked in a back-and-forth battle throughout, the Carbon Lady Dinos ended on the wrong side of the scoreboard as they suffered a 3-2 loss to Millard on the road Tuesday afternoon.

Tied 1-1 at the end of the first half, Carbon was outscored 2-1 in the final stanza. The loss dips the Lady Dinos to 3-2 on the season, while Millard moves to 4-3 with each win coming against 3A competition.

Ryan Brady scored one goal for Carbon, running her season total to seven goals in five games. Molly Banks also found the back of the net once for her second goal of the season.

Ending the non-region season with three wins and two losses, Carbon has flashed signs of brilliance, outscoring its opponents 18-9. They are also the only team in the league with three wins, accumulating nine points in the standings.

The Lady Dinos will now take the rest of the week off before returning to the field on Tuesday to open Region 12 play against South Sevier at home. Carbon will also host San Juan next Thursday, opening the league slate with back-to-back home games.
