Each month Castle Country Radio likes to highlight a non-profit organization as the monthly Charity of the Month. For the month of September, HOPE Squad of Carbon, Emery & Grand Counties has been selected.

The Hope Squad was developed to bring awareness and provide suicide prevention activities to benefit individuals in our community who need it the most. Their mission is simple, to educate, promote, and spread awareness for a healthier community with an emphasis on mental health, suicide prevention, support for suicide loss survivors, and to cultivate a stigma-free approach to seeking help. Together with the support and expertise of multiple agencies throughout the counties, their overall goal is to reduce the number of people who die by suicide.

This month, the Hope Squad, along with the Southeast Utah Health Department would like to invite everyone out for multiple events. Movies in the Park, Light a Candle Gathering, Self-Care Workshops, 5k’s and much more. These events help raise awareness for suicide prevention.
