The Emery Spartans have won one game in their last four. 6-8 overall and 2-5 in Region 12 play. On Thursday they traveled to Monroe to take on the South Sevier Rams. Pushing them to the limit, the Spartans fell in five sets.

The Spartans claimed victory in the first and third sets 25-23 and 25-21. South Sevier took sets two and four 25-18 and 25-23 as well as the final set 15-11.

Emery sits at No.12 in the updated RPI from the Utah High School Activities Association. There are only four matches left until the end of the season on October 20.

A couple of Spartans are in the top five in blocks in the state across all classifications. Bralin Wilde sits at No. 5 and Madisyn Childs holds the No. 2 spot.

Up next for Emery, they will travel to Vernal on Tuesday the 29th to take on the Uintah Utes. The Utes are 12-3 overall and ranked No.1 in the RPI for 4A.

They will close out next week on Thursday the 1st , when Carbon comes to the Spartan Center. Carbon is sitting at 13-3 and is ranked No. 3 in the state RPI.
