Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Kimble C. Larsen, age 82, passed away October 6, 2020, after a courageous battle with COPD. Dad had a witty sense of humor even through the most difficult times.

Kimble was born May 4, 1938, to Carlos and Lucille Snow Larsen. He married the love of his life, Julia Anne Hansen, September 12, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Dad was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held many callings.

Kimble and Anne were blessed with five children, David, Kim (Joe) Edgehouse, Kerry (Lori Ann), Lane and Launa (Scott) Bradley.

Dad ran the Emery County Progress for five years. He was a dedicated coal miner for 35 years. He was a member of the Emery County Search and Rescue. Sheriff Lamar Guymon once said, “Kimble could even track a fly on the desert”.

After retirement, Dad worked for both Emery County and Castle Dale City where he took great pride caring for the upkeep of the yards and the Museum of the San Rafael. Dad worked until he was 78 years old. He made many wonderful friends throughout his life.

Dad was an avid golfer and loved the time he spent with his brother, sons, grandsons and golf buddies. Even though he was blind in one eye and couldn’t see out of the other, he still managed to hit three holes-in-one. Dad looked forward to all of the hunts with his kids and grandkids.

Dad was loved and will be missed by many, including his dog Sophie.

Kimble is survived by his wife, five children, 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, brothers Franz and Russell (Kathy), and brother-in-law, Pace (Tonda) Hansen. He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Garr and Phoebe Hansen and sister-in-law, Patty Larsen.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gagon, CNS Hospice and Michelle Priano for such kind and caring service for our husband and dad.
