Billy Ross Passarella, 78, passed away October 30, 2020 at Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation in Price.

He was born February 12, 1942 in Standardville, Utah to Frank and Ella Olsen Passarella.  On July 2, 1966, he married Beverly Beane at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in South San Francisco, California. They later divorced.

Billy was a proud and distinguished individual who took great pride in his family, country and the friendships he made.  He honorably served his country in the US Army and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local # 85 and the United Mine Workers of America.  Billy was a third-generation miner who worked at Braztah and Price River Coal.  He retired from Merck Pharmaceutical in 2004 as a shift supervisor in corporate security.  As a member of Price Elk’s Lodge # 1550, Billy was instrumental in starting the Price Elk’s Boxing Club in 1981 with Vic Lopez.

Billy was an outdoors enthusiast who loved rock climbing, listening to music, dancing, photography, and he was a talented artist.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially with the Friendship Riders.  He helped many people in many different ways and never expected anything in return.  Billy was a very generous man who would do anything for anyone.

Survivors include his three children, Lisa Passarella, Price, Angela Passarella, Pennsylvania and Joseph Ross Passarella, Medford, Oregon; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Mike Passarella.

Funeral service, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
