The Carbon boys were playing their third game in three nights and coming off of their first loss of the season to Uintah on the road in Vernal on Thursday. Friday night they welcomed the North Sanpete Hawks to Price and were definitely up to the task coming out in the first half and setting the tone for the remainder of the game. Carbon claimed the win in this one 77-67.

Carbon took the lead in the first quarter 19-15 and would push that lead to nine at 41-30 at the half.  North Sanpete would come out of the locker and take the offensive outscoring the Dinos 17-11, but Carbon would battle back in the final period and seal the victory. At the end of the game, free-throw shooting was the main story as the Dinos made the most of their opportunities shooting 88% for the game.

Senior Preston Condie would lead the way for the Dinos, scoring the first seven points for Carbon and finishing with 31 points and eight rebounds, Condie went 17 of 18 from the free throw line. Senior Noah Bradford scored 21 points and shot 11 of 12 from the free throw line. Rounding out the scoring for Carbon, seniors Keenan Hatch and Max Lancaster added six points each, Hatch also grabbed seven rebounds and Lancaster added five. Seniors Caleb Winfree and Merrick Morgan added five points a piece, Morgan had eight rebounds while Winfree added four to go along with seven assists.  Junior Jordan Fossat added three points to round out scoring for the Dinos.

For North Sanpete Trevin Morley had collected 12 points by halftime and finished the game with 28. Junior Tyrel Morley ended with 11 and senior Grady Jacobson and junior Landon Bowles both added eight points each.

Carbon will now get the weekend to rest but they will back at it on Monday as they will travel to Roosevelt to take on the Union Cougars. On Tuesday they will be in Salina to take on the North Sevier Wolves.

The Dinos will be back home on Friday, December 18 when they will welcome the South Summit Wild Cats.
