Robert Ray Branch (Bob), 83 left his earthly home on Sunday December 20, 2020 in the comfort of his home embraced by his loving family.
Bob was born on May 8th, 1937 to Hollis Branch and Ruth Denison Branch in Price, Utah. He married his college sweetheart Mary Ann Belich on March 15, 1958 in Wellington, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple on June 2nd, 1961. Together they raised a beautiful Family: Laurie, Dennis (Lisa), Sue Pruitt (Jim), Peggy Hyita (Bart) and Valerie Cisneros (Jeff). They have 17 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren.
After attending Carbon High School he graduated from Carbon College with a Business Degree. Bob worked for Pacific Finance/Trans America where he proudly retired after 40 years of service.
Bob’s greatest joy in life was his Family. He spent a tremendous amount of time hunting, camping, fishing and traveling with them.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings. He especially relished his service in the Bishopric of Wellington 4th Ward. He also spent much of his time teaching, coaching and mentoring the youth. His greatest joy was watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports and other interests where he also picked up many “honorary grandchildren”. He loved his hometown of Wellington where he spent most of his life. Family and friends will remember him always on a ball field, bleachers, in his yard or swinging on his back porch, watching the birds where young and old were always welcome.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, his children and their families, his baby brother, Rodger (Elynn) and best friend Don Denison. He will always be fondly remembered as “The Candy Man”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Denny and Kendell and infant granddaughter, Maranda Sue.
