
James Henry Robertson, age 90, passed away December 20, 2020 at his home in East Carbon.
He was born April 21, 1930 in Benson, Arizona to Orrick and Irene Holt Robertson.
Married Evangeline “Vangie” Bikakis on August 10, 1958 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Price, Utah. She died September 6, 2020.
Jim was an active member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Price. He was an active member of the American Legion and the East Carbon Rotary Club. After retirement, he became an assistant executive director for the Utah Sheriff’s Association. Jim honorably served his country in the US Army from 1946-1948 during the Korean War and was part of the Berlin Air Lift in 1949. He once had an audience with Pope Pius XII while he was a guard at Nuremberg. After returning to Carbon County he began his career with the Carbon County Sheriff Office and eventually retired as the Carbon County Sheriff. Jim was introduced in 1956 to Vangie, his future wife, by his mother because they taught together at the same school in Sacramento, California. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. “May His Memory Be Eternal.”

Survived by his daughter, Joan (Richard) Aragon, Provo; son, Jimmy (Bernedette) Robertson, West Valley; six grandchildren, Brandee, Stormee and Angel Aragon, Sophie, Toby and Katie Irene Robertson; three great-grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan and Ryder; brothers-in-law, Charles (Smoki) Bikakis, Seattle, WA., Kosta (Chris) Bikakis, Escondido, CA.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vangie; sister, Ginger Robertson; brothers, Jack and Billy Robertson.
Funeral service, Monday, December 28, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home one hour prior to service.
